         Last Saturday, Mount Ephraim held another perfect Opening Day. For the Major League Division, the Mt. Ephraim Cabana team (coached by Joel Stemetzki), faced the Mt. Ephraim Piskers Bakery team (coached by Augie Meraz). M.E Cabana capped off the first with two RBI-Singles by Dymitri Galieono and Jeff Henkel. In the bottom of the 4^th, Andrew Fehr gave M.E Piskers a 4-2 lead with a 2-Run Home Run. In the top of the 6^th, M.E Cabana made a fierce comeback down 6-2 to tie it 6-6. In that inning, Jon Myers had an RBI walk and Dymitri Galieono tied it with a 3-Run double and was then thrown out trying to advance to third base. But in the bottom of the 6^th, a passed ball went back to the fence and the runner at 3^rd scored to win the game. So, in the first game for both teams, they show they have a lot of talent in them and can find their way to the Play-offs easily at the end of the season.

Night of Excellence- Tuesday, April 19th @6:30pm

RWK students would like to welcome parents to our Night of Excellence- The Students Take Over! This is a great opportunity to come "back to school" with your child and explore the great things happening at Kershaw. Student work will be on display as well as various learning stations around the building. The students have TONS to teach you so please plan on attending! Those that attend with a parent will receive extra credit in some of their classes. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the night. 

NJHS transform Shining Star Park

A huge thank you to the National Junior Honor Society members for spending their Sunday afternoon cleaning up Shining Star Park. The park looks absolutely amazing! Students weeded, planted flowers, picked up trash, painted and moved wheelbarrow after wheelbarrow of mulch to each garden area. This is what Kershaw students are all about- service and dedication to their community! Let's keep this park looking beautiful.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, April 16, 2011, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt held at the Shining Star Park on Harding Ave Mt.Ephraim NJ.This is the 9th annual Christine Eberle Memorial Foundation Easter egg hunt.Bring your camera for pictures with the Easter bunny! The hunt begins at 1pm (SHARP)... Don't be late!!!!!!!!!!

Oaklyn Cats Cheerleading News

The Oaklyn Cats Unlimited cheerleading squad has made it very far this 2010-2011 season.  The team of unlimited cheerleaders wouldn’t have been able to do it with out our coaches.   Coach Kim, Coach Dana and Coach Ashley are three of the most dedicated coaches around.   Since August the unlimited team has been doing an amazing job at everything we do.  We are a group of hard working girls and that’s what made us win first place at our first competition and every single one since then.  After a few first place wins we started winning not only first place but we have been winning grand champs ever since.  When we reached our biggest competition that was called “The Fall Festival” we were all very nervous, but we pulled it together and won first place, grand champs and a full paid BID to the US Finals in Washington D.C.   We are still practicing and getting even better then before and on April 17 we are headed to Wildwood to do another practice competition before our big competition in D.C.  I will surly miss my team when it is all over this year.  A few of us will move on to a higher level starting in August the new season,  but from what I can see the Senior Rec  Oaklyn Cats are just as amazing as we are and I look forward to cheering with them and my Unlimited friends.  If you know anyone that would like to cheer for the Oaklyn cats check out our website at www.oaklyncatscheerleading.com  and you can register from our website.  Some of the girls who are on my team from Kershaw School and who are in Audubon are listed below.
